Perkins Chamber Community Awards – Nominations Now Open!

Great communities are built by great people, and now is your chance to recognize those who make Perkins special!

The Perkins Community Chamber of Commerce invites Chamber members to nominate deserving individuals, businesses, and organizations for our annual Community Awards.

Who Can Be Nominated?

Nominees do not have to be Chamber members for every award. Eligibility depends on the award category:

• Delmar Niles Community Service Award: A Chamber member who has demonstrated dedication and commitment through years of community service.

• Sheri Gordon Community Service Award: A Perkins citizen who has contributed to the betterment of our community.

• Citizen of the Year: A community member who has made an outstanding commitment or contribution to Perkins.

• Best New Business Award: A local business that opened within the last calendar year and has already made a significant positive impact.

• Best Existing Business Award: An established local business that has contributed to the betterment of our community for many years.

• Organization of the Year: A local organization that has made a significant positive impact on our community during the past year.

You don't have to own a business or be a Chamber member to deserve recognition! Our awards celebrate the many people and organizations whose service, generosity, leadership, and dedication make Perkins a better place.

•  Nominations Close: November 27, 2026

•  Chamber Member Voting: December 2026

Chamber members are encouraged to submit nominations before the deadline. Following the nomination period, Chamber members will have the opportunity to vote for this year's award recipients.

Nominations that do not meet the nomination criteria for an individual award will be omitted from the voting ballot.

Recommendation for Nomination
This is your personal endorsement of nominee for award consideration; this brief statement is required and helps qualify that candidates meet the criteria for the award in which they were nominated.

The relevance and prestige of these awards are directly tied to the integrity of our process and Membership. This form collects information to verify that all votes received are from current Members of the Perkins Community Chamber of Commerce and that each paid Membership receives only a single vote, in accordance with our Organization's bylaws.

• affirm that you are a current Member of the Perkins Community Chamber of Commerce, eligible to participate in Chamber business.
• understand that if you are found to be ineligible due to lapsed Membership, etc. your nominations and endorsements for our Annual Awards will be omitted.
• understand that if your nominations are found to be ineligible because they do not meet the criteria for the award in which they are nominated, they will be omitted from the ballot for our Annual Awards.
  
• No one person can win two awards in the same calendar year; in the event that a single recipient win the popular vote for multiple awards, the Board will determine and award the category that is best-fitting based on Member endorsements.
