OSD PERKINS PARADE

For our Centennial Old Settlers' Day Celebration we mark 101 years of an unforgettable tradition. After careful consideration, our committee has had extensive discussion that was not taken lightly. Moving forward we embark on new opportunities to grow together as a community. When in doubt the growth of Perkins continues to strengthen. A small town, yet a rural network of possibilities to be inclusive. PCC Chambers’ Parade Title/theme this year does not exclude the past, but recognizes the present pride our community has to offer.

Parade Theme: “Better Together” applies to our every decision, all personal, business, and organization. “Together”, we thrive to do the best we can and make the most of what we have.  What does this look like on a float? You know your business/ organization better than anyone. We challenge you to express the detail that ties your brand to our Perkins Community. We want to highly encourage all parade floats and vendors to incorporate flying the United States Flag while we celebrate our community together. 

Parade Schedule

The event is scheduled for September 28th, 2024!

• Road closure from 7:00am - 1:00pm
• Vendor setup starts at 7:00am
• Floats lined up by 9:00am for judge inspections (parade float waivers must be signed and presented for judging)
  
• Floats ready by 10:00am and start heading to Main Street
• Float winner announcements presented at end of parade
  
• Main Street opens at 1:00pm
